I grew up in Grand Island, NE, graduating from Grand Island Senior High. I graduated from UNK with a degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting. Three years after graduation, I returned to UNK to obtain my teaching certificate. I also obtained my Master's degree in Educational Administration from UNK. My teaching experience includes 1 year at Lexington Junior High, 4 years at Clarks Public School, 5 years at Shelton Public School, and, currently, Northwest High School. My coaching experience includes assistant volleyball, football, and basketball coach. I have also served as a head volleyball and head boys basketball coach throughout my career. Numerous other employment opportunities have enhanced the experience I bring to the classroom. I worked for over 20 years at Don's Service Station. I was bookkeeper/office manager for Ziller Tile, Inc. for 3 years. I was a welder at New Holland for 1 1/2 years. Finally, I have owned Koehn Bookkeeping Service for over 20 years.
I have been married to Jeanne since 2001. We have two daughters, Kara and Kayla. I enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, and coaching my daughters in softball during my free time. |
